Great location but tired apartment which needed a goo clean

Position and view 10/10. One bedroom apartment needed a good clean. Balcony doors dirty. Mould in bathroom. Outdoor furniture sticky. WiFi was not the best. Kept dropping out. Crane being used to do outside painting. Very noisy and this was not known prior to arival.

Tired and depressing. I booked directly with Accor, some months before arrival at this dreary, dingy hotel. On arrival, we were told by the very pleasant but clearly overworked receptionist, that there was no restaurant, bar, or gym. The hotel appears to have been cut in half and partially sold to another operator and the lobby is half boarded up for building works ( which do not appear to be underway). The room was large but smelled of damp and mould. The carpets in the hallways were grubby. I have never done it before but I immediately requested a refund and moved out. I spoke to Accor who confirmed the refund by phone but the hotel itself was not aware of it. All in all, I am sure there are better places to stay, even in Darwin. I have never done th

There are different operators within the building and two reception areas, one for mantra and the other one for the caretaker manager of the building. The restaurant and bar have been closed for over 5 years now since the previous operator left. I have also shared your comments with Dolly, our Rooms Division Manager, who will be addressing the cleanliness issue with the housekeeping team. This is not really a hotel… it’s just a very basic room to rent, no restaurant, no breakfast, no safe in the rooms, noisy air/con, building site at the front lobby, a very very disappointing introduction to our first night in Darwin,although the booking was pre paid they still took a security deposit, for what I don’t know…. there is nothing further to purchase!!!

The credit card pre-authorisation that was taken upon arrival and then released from our end when you check out, is used mainly as a security on the room to cover for any damages that may occur. Terrible. Miss, mould and mildew everywhere.room was filthy. People were rude except for 1 cleaning lady who knew more about the hotel than the manager. Manager terribly rude. No restaurant but I was not told. Maintenance work outside my window that I as not told would occur from 7am. Overall an exhausting experience. I couldn’t even get a coffee!

Reception closed when we arrived. Key cards didn't work, constantly taking back to replace. King bed is two single beds pushed together. Had to purchase our own mattress topper. Works being done on building, woken every morning at 8am by jackhammers. Restaurant and bar closed. Window cleaning team with crane near pool, so no privacy to enable use of pool. Enquired about cancelling, refund and booking else where, told not a possibility. Very unenjoyable stay over all.
